Understanding the standard of veterinary care is fundamental to providing good veterinary care. During this course you will learn not only how to meet but to exceed the standard of care. Participants will examine how the standard of care is applied in both veterinary malpractice and state license discipline cases; the role of the expert witness; and tips for improving the veterinarian’s ability to provide patient care while working within pet owner’s financial constraints.

Dr. Sarah Babcock is a licensed veterinarian and attorney. She provides both online and live continuing education to help her colleagues fulfill their lifelong obligation to the continual improvement of professional knowledge and competence, as well as satisfy state licensing requirements.

You must agree to “The Terms of Service” before using the materials, and these terms do not permit for the sharing, copying, or reproducing of any of the materials. Will I obtain a Certificate of Attendance?
After completing the course you will receive, at no charge, a Certificate of Completion that you may provide to your veterinary licensing board upon request and/or at the time of your license renewal.
